Back in Vegas

Hey guys... I don't know if any of you are still around, but I figured I will post any way..
I just got back into Vegas last night, we left Friday morning. So I didn't get to post anything until now.. Just saw my score!! Yeah baby- I didn't expect to get that score!!
Went to see the Grand Canyon this weekend. Had an awesome time. Stayed at a little place called Jacob's Lake, with NO LAKE!! No Cell service. Saw the Grand Canyon on the northern side through the back roads. Drone the jeep in the rain, thunder and lightning, and lots of mud.. Had to give the old jeep a good cleaning! Well anyway.. See ya around!!

I Survived

I survived!!  Along with everyone else.. I can honestly say that I am taking with me a lot from this class, as you all are as well. I hope to see you around on campus.

Another test today!!

Ugh!!!! Another test today everyone.. Oh well. I hope that I didn't completely fail the BA8 Bonus.. I know that I feel really good about what I have learned in this class. It feels like this is "Cram" week and I feel a little overwhelmed with all the emails & instructions, hoping that I don't miss anything. Oh well!

Poker Night

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. I am hosting Poker Night tonight. We have a good friend that is out visiting from Washington, so we all had to get together to play some poker... But I don't have the attention span, so I play hostess. My sister is crazy when she has had a few... Cracks me up!!! Just sittin with my bud Rick and talking  about some business schemes.. We were gonna get RICH!!!

Just Sittin' Around

It is slow at work today. I can leave early, but I always worry about my clients needing me as soon as I leave. I think that I may do a little clothes shopping today. Hmmm, swimming sounds good too! Looks like tonight I will be working on my Capstones B, unless there is something else that I missed.
Yup... I think I have shopping fever! Where do I want to go??

Summertime... Summertime

Had a really nice afternoon. My husband and I got to spend it with both of our daughters (at the same time), we don't get to do that very often any more.. One is 21 and the other is 18. We went and watched Despicable Me 2- Funny!! Loved it. Then went swimming at Nan's. Brought my sister and her husband their extra set of car keys to Sam's Club. They locked their keys in the trunk.. Too Funny!!!! Went and had Chinese for dinner. Great Day today!!

July 4th

I had a great weekend, it always goes by too fast! Did anyone see the RED sun on the fourth? It was a little creepy how red it was. The smoke is so bad! I feel sorry for everyone it is affecting. Coughing, sneezing, sore throat, etc.. Luckily it hasn't gotten to me yet.
Well.. I will see everyone in class..

Today's Presentations

I thought tonight's presentations were very good and I enjoyed them. It isn't easy to get up in front of people and speak.. Some people are natural at it. And most of us will always be nervous no matter how many times we practice or present. But one thing that I was told and will try to remember is that- you don't appear as nervous to your audience as you feel. Confidence is the key, even if it is only on the outside.

Who Rocks?????

Girls Rock!!!!  Last night was awesome!!  Got to watch my daughter in action.. She had volunteered for the Girls Rock week camp. She sets up and tears down the equipment, tunes guitars, etc... She got to perform on stage, the last song of the night, "Girls Rock"!! There is nothing more satisfying than seeing your kid following through with a goal, an ambition, anything in their life that means - "I can do anything"!!! Any way..... It was pretty cool.. Later

Today in class

I am sitting here in class thinking about what I want to say... Hmmm. Well, I was pretty busy at work today, which was nice. Now I am helping out my new BFF over here (Amber ;-) Gotta do some serious homework tonight, haven't even started my home page!! Excited about the presesntation.. It's gonna ROCK!! Well, you guys will decide that. Later Gators!

GRV

Girls Rock Vegas Summer Camp this week... My husband and I helped get all the band equipment moved to the camp location today.. This GRV camp is a non-profit organization and is a really neat program. It is a camp for girls aged 9 to 17. On Monday, the first day of camp, all the girls will get grouped together to form as a band. Through the week they name their band, write a song, learn and practice the instruments they choose to play for their song, and Friday night perform their original song in front of family and friends!! My daughter started out as a camper the first year GRV started and is now a volunteer. I volunteer for fundraisers and such whenever I can!  Who Rocks???  GIRLS ROCK!!!

Tuesday 5pm

Getting ready for class.... Attempting to study for tonight's quiz, but you can bet, as soon as I start reading the questions my mind goes blank!!  Oh well. Class is good & I am learning alot and that is all that matters! See ya!!

Hmmm, to nap or not to nap?

It has been a productive day today. Now I am tired and debating if I should take a nap. Some people love their naps, they take a 30 minute or an hour nap, and get back to their day... Not me!! I take a nap and I am worthless for the rest of the day!  It is weird, but true. I just want to sleep or be completely lazy for the rest of the day! Well,  I think that I am going to do it!!! Recliner & TV, here I come!! Later!

Hello!!  We have class again tonight, along with a quiz. I do not do well at quizzes, oh well.. My weekend was good. Did some sewing. Gave my dog a bath. (Real exciting Stuff). I will probably go swimming this coming weekend, it is definitely hot enough!! I am going to go and finish reading "Unit A Concepts 2010".... Later!!

I really hope that I am doing this right!! I have never blogged before. I am excited about this class. I am a Mac user (I Love my Mac) and know very little about PCs, so this will be a good class for me!

Hello.... This is my second semester at CSN. Last semester I took BUS 101 and COM 101. COM 101 was hard for me.... I had to prepare and deliver four speeches. Giving the speech was the hardest part of the class... Our last assignment was a group presentation and we all had a good time. Our teacher was awesome though. If you take COM 101, I recommend Jim Rufus for the teacher.
Anyway.... My daughter graduates High School tomorrow!!!! Whew.... You can find me sitting at the bar at The Orleans around noon!!!
